  • Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Job Development Specialist to join our team. Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills will be vital in creating partnerships with employers and attracting participants to our program. In this role, you will facilitate job readiness and preparation, job development, and job placement for individuals with various disabilities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Engage with employers to establish and nurture partnerships, creating opportunities for job tours, work experiences, job tryouts, work-based learning, and direct hire placements for clients.
  • Conduct outreach activities to recruit potential clients and employers, completing eligibility documentation and effectively communicating program details.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with employers to foster worksite experiences for clients.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving.
  • Perform client case management by identifying and referring clients to necessary resources, while maintaining accurate and timely case notes to ensure up-to-date client files.

  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of disabilities and possible work accommodations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, education, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to various locations, including high schools, vocational rehabilitation offices, Workforce Centers, employers, and networking events.
