Vocational Assessment
The Vocational Assessment team helps guide people with disabilities to the potential careers or training programs that best suit them.
About the Vocational Assessment Program
Our Vocational Assessment evaluator administers tests to measure aptitudes, skill levels, abilities, job-related interests, work values and more. Tests are administered with a combination of electronic and non-electronic formats. A comprehensive report is submitted to the referral source for review with their client.
Before testing, our evaluator interviews each client to learn about their school and work history, disability status, family dynamics, and their own perceived limitations. This one-on-one approach helps ensure clients receive more precise employment recommendations, reducing job-related dissatisfaction and turnover rates.
DCF and Vocational Rehabilitation counselors use CPRF’s assessment program to help plan for the type of employment their clients could seek — including on-the-job training, vocational school and advanced degree programs.
